How severe can neurological lyme symptoms be? My husband has been sick for almost three years. He has or has had almost every symptom of lyme, even the rash. He now has paralysis in both arms, and weakness in both legs. Every day he says the pain all over his body and especially his joints is almost unbearable. We are awaiting test results from Igenex but our LLMD here says that he will NOT treat him for lyme unless he gets a positive. So I am wondering if anybody else has progressed to such severity of symptoms.

sounds like you may need a new llmd! most llmds will treat the symptoms and not worry about test results at all..especially with all of his symtoms, i would want him on abx....
find a new llmd would be my suggestion so your husband doesn't have to wait.
