I have determined that MSG and products containing D-glutamic acid make me dizzy, tired and brain fogged. Sound like lyme? Test yourself, try the test at www.msgmyth.com and see how you feel.

MSG makes many otherwise healthy people feeling bad. Also some research suggests that people using much MSG in diet have problems with eyesight.
It is better to avoid it.

John,
You are right on the money. MSG is a nightmare! It increases all my neuro symptoms and this included electrical/seizure/shock like sensations when I would fall asleep.
I wish I had realized this years ago so I would have understood why I needed to avoid almost all processed foods but it was not until a little over a year ago that I finally realized this portion of the puzzle that is likely a damaged ability to handle these chemicals caused by Lyme.
I had a great many symptoms caused by MSG and similar neurotoxins. One visible symptom that could not be denied even to the observer, was an ongoing and very visible tremor which is no longer apparent.
The removal of these neurotoxins did not cure my neurological problems but it DID significantly reduce them.
I'd advise anyone to try removing processed foods from their diet for a minimum of 3 weeks to see what improvement they might have. The first week you will literally go through withdraw and may actually have some increase in symptoms for this reason. However, once you pass the hump you should notice some improvements.
Take care,
Angie

Yes the MSG is bad and I have been looking for it on the labels and NOT seeing it. However, I did not know that it can be called: Citric acid Citric acid is in soda, taco sauce, catsup, yogart and more. Natural flavor Natural flavor is in butter, salad dressing, cheese and more. Gelatin Gelatin is used for gel caps, vitamins, supplements
Please go and read the information on the site it is in more foods than you think.
It is even on some fruit and vegetables!!!!!!
Now that you mention tremors, I think my eye twitches when it's in me.
