Hello All!

I've taken it upon myself to order some green rubber lyme bracelets similar to the yellow "Live Strong" bracelets. I'm contemplating placing a very large order, but want to make sure that the interest is there. Please respond if you are interested and a tentative number of bracelets that you would order. All proceeds will be donated to benefit Lyme patients. I will take suggestions as far as the organization as well. Of course, the Lyme Disease Association is on my short list. Thank you!

You might want to check with LDA. I know CALDA was talking about making some of these up. It would be a shame if you were competing with each other, since you are all trying to support the same cause.

CALDA is the CA arm of the LDA. OR in real words, the California arm of the Lyme Disease Association. I know that CALDA was taking about doing this, possibly with LDA? If they decided not to do it, I'm sure they would be happy for you to go ahead.

CALDA
Lyme Disease Association

I just checked, and LDAs website is down right now. They may be working on it, as Lymenet was down for a while, too.

Where are you ordering them from? I think someone already has a source for these. It was discussed in General sometime in the last 4 wks. Do a search.

Wild Condor posted a resource for the bracelets a few weeks back. They were already made. You might want to check her past posts on this.

I am interested, either way - about 10 for me.

Wild Condor was working on some, but gave up on it after a few unsuccessful attempts with the supplier. I have found a new supplier (other than the ones she posted that she was working with). She never did get the bracelets.

There are some available through Live With Lyme, a non-profit organization in CT. You can get them her. I have some and I really like them.

The ones that I plan to have made say, "Bravery, Hope, Courage, Lyme" and are a lime green. And I plan to sell them for only $3. I will contact Live with Lyme as a possible donation destination so that I'm working with them rather than competing. Thanks!

fetzer, I think it's a great idea to have those positive thoughts on the bracelet. I have one of the Live with Lyme ones, but would love to have one with your wording as well. I hope it works out one place or another.

I love that! Can you get them in two sizes? I'm small, especially in my wrists. The regular sized ones are too large to wear. They just fall off....only my knuckles keep them on!

Be very careful with this!
I never told anyone the manufacturer I used. I just gave suggestions as to some others for you all. Many of the manufacturers are connected and will outsource your orders, and screw them up royally. My project was cancelled not because I gave up, but because of problems with not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 different bracelet manufacturers.

You HAVE to make sure you are getting top quality product. Make sure you have your company overnight you a sample. Do not rely on stock either, spend the extra and get a mold made up with your slogan on it.
Make sur eyou inspect the mold before you order large quantities. Good luck!

As far as donations, if you are unfamiliar with an organization, please check into them first. See:
http://apps.irs.gov/app/pub78
and
http://www.guidestar.org/

And LymeToo...I'm with you on size. I tried it on my ankle but it was just a tad too small to get over my heel.

Five members of my immediate family have lyme - and I'd get 5 more. If you get them, could I have 10?

Thanks for your doing this.

Hi Everyone-

Sorry I've been MIA for a little bit. I've been having some health issues. (Heart rate has been averaging 37 and growth on thyroid, etc). Anyway, I'm back on task working on the bracelets. I should be able to post an update by tomorrow.

God Bless!

Hello All!

Some updated information. The bracelets are only available in one size, but the quality is good (comparable to the Armstrong bracelets both in quality and size). If you would like me to hold some in your name, send me an e-mail with your contact information and quantity desired. I'm working on setting up a paypal account for payment.
