Hi All,

Well my PICC line was pulled and my IV Rocephin was stopped yesterday due to getting a nasty infection ( allergic to the adhesive) + Nasuea and fatigue. I had just completed 6 weeks of treatment and although I do feel better was upset I couldn't go another two weeks.

The Dr has put me back on Orals, Doxy 200mg 3x daily for the next 90 days. Don't know what the outcome will be but disappointed I am. I've been told that I can no longer go on any IV form of treatment due to the infection that occured. Has anyone else had this problem, Is Doxy worth the taken, I almost feel like giving my body a break of all this stuff, cleaning itself out and then starting up again in a month or so but of course I hesiate.

Will keep you posted
King regards
Jeannine

I know the feeling, had 4 pic lines pulled.Doxy works for some people it just depends how you react to it.
Are you taking flagyl/tinadiazole with it?

Must have a cyst buster.

Hi

My PICC line was pulled for exactly the same reason. Terrible skin allergic reaction to adhesive or bandage or whatever. I made it 9 weeks.

I'm not on any abx momentarily, it has been 5 weeks since the PICC line was pulled. Not saying I recomend this at all. BUt, I did need to do major work on Candida. And my herxing on rocephin was so bad for 6 weeks or so straight, it has been a relief. I will probly start a new abx tomorrow or so. It's in the cupboard. It is not anything I've heard of before, it's Omnicef.
