I have been trying to treat my lyme with rife since November and I have gained 30+ lbs. since I began to use the rife. I have a hard time with regular elimination and I swell during the day sometimes a tremendous amount. My idea of the problem???? maybe the rife is breaking up the lyme but I can't get it out because the weight is weird not like fat like hard distension Is it worse for me to break it up and kill it and leave it in my body? I need some advice especially if you know anyone with this situation. Thanks

Too acidic from toxins in outer cell walls as they are destroyed.
Into a search engine, type in "acidic weight gain". Read, read, read.
Now...get your system alkaline - balance your pH...continuously.
Elimination problems?...GOOD, loading doses of probiotics are called for as well as adequate water (good water) intake.

This sounds very similar to what I experienced following repeated major die off with Rife...(I definately got more die off than I EVER expereinced with abx!!)
I don't think this is a typical reaction with Rife...but it did happen to me...I was doing fantastic with Rife, and then my colon "froze up"...just stopped functioning, making me more and more toxic(and acidic, I'm sure, as Marnie mentioned)...When your body gets toxic, it can potentially retain water to "dilute" the toxins in effort to protect the body...So this is a definate warning sign that something is wrong...as well as uncomfortable.
Based on my experience, my advice would be to back off Rife till your body rebalances, and concentrate on detox...do whatever you need to do to get the colon moving...colonics, enema are effective quite quickly...(of course check with doc to make sure no contridictions in your case)
Hope things get better soon... Kira
