Started ART 2 days ago 200mg 2X/day. I'm also on 2.4ml of Bicillin weekly. What should I expect from the ART? I'm a little spacey, but nothing too horrible.

Any comments would be appreciated.

I've been taking Artemesia since July, which I know is a little different formulation I guess. But, I have not had any problems.

I got a herx from it, and used this as ammunition to get mepron from my LLMD. The overt babesia symptoms were gone in about a month and a half, and I stuck with mepron plus arte for three months.

Since artemisinin is pretty benign and easy to get--the local health food stores can order it in three days--I'm just going to keep it up at low doses, to catch any spare babs.

At what point did you herx? Immediately? How long did the herx last and what were your herx symptoms. Thanks for your reply!

I took it for what appeared to be one of the mild forms of Malaria a few weeks ago, at a dose recommended by W.H.O. for Malaria.

At my 155 lb body weight that was 700mg taken twice the first day, and 700mg each day for 4 more days.

I didn't notice much of any side effect except for a bitter taste in my mouth... and it seems to have whooped the malaria. At least it has not been back yet.

Everybody is very different, but for me it seemed very mild as far as side effects were concerned.

Maybe there were side effects, but it felt so good having that crud gone that I didn't notice them.

Your mileage may vary.

I'm taking Art for possible Babs. I had vertigo and dizziness in the afternoon the first month or so. Then it dissippated. I don't really have symptoms or side effects I can pinpoint to the Artemsinin anymore.

I've been on Art since early Nov.
