Hey there....sorry to hear your so sick
I saw your post on my other topic.

So your a mother? You sound very newly diagnosed, or new to LD. How is that going? Yeah, I understand the pain, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia when I was 13...I had severe pain since I was about 7. But luckily we found out it was the LD causing the fibromyalgia, and I've been getting treated for four years. You mentioned your getting your IV put in soon? What med are you going to be put on? I took IV rocephin (along with some orals) for a year and a half and did GREAT on it. That must be frustrating about the college scholarship, I understand that too. I loved sports. I was figure skating, and riding horses competitively when I was younger. When I was 11 I had the option to join the olympic riding team but I turned it down cuz I wanted to get better at figure skating and focus on competing in that instead. Well, my LD took over and pretty much ended both. I still skate for fun and I ride horses too. But nothing competitive. Finally last year I was way better so I started rock climbing which is big in our area, it's helped me get strong and I love the sport. I have setbacks from the pain but I do what I can....

So are you seeing a lyme disease specialist? Where are you from? Does your child also have lyme? I hope not, it kills me even more to see kids suffer, who haven't even gotten to really live yet. Are you on any medications right now? Taking anything to manage your pain?

Welcome to lymenet (if your a newbie!!)
