I've read that steroids and lyme don't seem to mix, but has anyone had problems with prescription non steroidal anti-inflammatories and lyme?

Thanks....Tina

Prior to my lyme dx I was given steroidal and nsaids and after a week or two my symptoms would always return only worse...
Since my lyme dx any time a duck would give me a nsaid my symptoms got worse...

I know some out there are taking some form of anti inflam even prescribed by llmd's....personally I can't take them and think ducks and llmd's are missing the boat on this one......all these immune system lowering or weakening drugs do nothing to help someone trying to defeat an infection.

If you take them a notice an exacerbation of your symptoms stop and never do them again. I get more pain and swelling relief from antibiotics than anything else other than advil...which is a low dose anti inflam but does'nt put me in a bad way lyme symptom wise.................good luck..........zman

My LLMD doesn't like for his patients to take them. I THINK it's because you can end up with more damage done to the joints. [in his opinion, anyway]

Go with the natural anti-inflammatories.

Could someone please provide a short list of common natural anti-inflammatories?
