Years ago I took Rifampin for tuberculosis. I took it for 2 years and had no problems with it. I completely recovered from TB so it did its job.

Good luck!

I took rifampin (with isoniazid/inh) for about a year and a half to get rid of a mycobacterium kansasii infection. From what I was told, it's similar to TB. I tolerated the meds fine.

I took Rifampin for three months for bartonella 600 mg per day.

I won't lie. The first month was horrible. I wanted to commit suicide just about every waking minute and Im pretty sure I dreamed of it when I was sleeping.

BUt the second month? WOW! NOt only did THAT go away but sooo many of my symptoms from lyme and friends went away. i had no problems taking it after the first month. It was smooth sailing and greatly, greatly benefited me.
