My vision issues cleared up for a couple days, but now they are back! I can see as far as reading and such but my vision will go in and out of blurriness. I always feel like there is something in my eyes and like someone has but a veil over each one of them. Im taking eye drops (dr thought maybe dry eye), but no improvement. I still have bad pains in both eyes as well.

I just need to get my MRI done tomorrow and get my tests done next week. I still haven't heard from my primary care dr if he's gonna help out with any of the tests or not. Keep in mind, he is military and sometimes tough to get a hold of.

I just don't want to go blind!!! Eye dr can't find anything wrong with my eyes, but feels an MRI is in order. Im scared-really, really scared!

My worst symptom has to be the eye problems. For me it is mostly the left eye. It feels like there is something in my eyes, eye pain pressure from behind the eyes, tons of floaters, and occasional feeling of a pin is being poked into my eye from the back. I too have had about every test done and the drs have said there is nothing wrong with me eyes they are healthy. I wouldn't hold my breath on that MRI shedding any light into the eye problem either. I have had several of them and they always come back normal. The eye drops and dry eyes were all my current eye doctor could come up with as well.

Hi Nancy,
I too have just mainly eye problems associated with my Lyme. I almost went blind from it and there was a time that I was nearly legally blind in both eyes 20/150 in the left and 20/100 in the right. I saw MD, after MD and had test after test. Including spinal taps, MRI's, eye scans etc.
I have Lyme uveitis and it casued a whammy in my eyes. I had periphlebitis, optic neuropathy, optic neuritis, vasculitis, retinits and nerve damage to the left eye. Lyme can casue very serious damage to the eye if not treated properly.
Have you ever seen an opthamologist? Are you seeing a docotr for Lyme?
I travel to see both of my physicians.
I travel about 2 1/2 hours to northern NJ from PA and then about 6 hours to Boston MA to see a uveitis specialist and today my vision is 20/20 in the right and 20/25 in the left and I do not wear any type of glasses.
Take my advice and don't sit too long on not having a definite answer seek Treatment and be oushy about it.
Take Care
Dee

Thanks for your replies. I am seeing an LLMD-just started and I have to go in next week for my lymes tests and such. Ive had these symptoms off and on for 6 years now and I am worried that the tests won't show anything. The eye thing is something new that started about a month ago. I hope if I start treatment, it won't be too late.

Several weeks ago my eyes litterally got worse over night I could not read at all with my glasses. I went to the eye doctor that day and had a new prescription filled.

I still cant read very well. It is the focusing that goes in and out. I have even seen a Neuro-opthamologist, still no real answers. Mean while they are just getting worse. The sight problem really scares me the most.

I'm sorry you are havin these vision problems. My daughter had vision problems, too when her LD was really bad. As a senior in high school I had to read her homework to her - she couldn't focus al those blurry words! Now not so bad when her LD isn't as bad. Hope this is encouraging!!!!

I would definately see an opthamologist (as least a good optomistist - not just a quick fast drop in place)! Her's didn't have any help - but at least we knew we weren't missing anything that could be easily treated.

Praying time (and abx for the LD) helps you!!!!
