Ive been trying to slam my body with probiotics and I found a pretty good yogurt but it has carbs in it.
I looked and looked and i couldnt find one that was sugar free. The yogurt has all the GOOD bacteria I'm looking for yet still has carbs!!
My throat gets a little funky after I eat it too.
I think I just might pass on it for now so I can start to see some Yeast relief.
its driving me nuts.

Chime,
There is no such thing as a carb free yogurt. There are natural sugars in the dairy. Because of the live cultures, it is ok to eat it though.
But, you should stick with plain yogurt. Any flavored yogurt will have either sugar or artificial sweeteners added to it. Some people add stevia to make it sweeter. I eat it plain or with some peanutbutter.
The funkiness in your throat is probably mucous. All dairy causes mucous.

peanutbutter?? peanuts can feed yeast....and the nightshades can cause pain.
Is the health food variety of peanut butter free of sugar and carbs?
dullchime...I can't get away with yogurt. I keep thinking I should make my own. Occasionally i buy Blue Bunny's low carb brand. It has 5 grams of carbs. But it is artificially sweetened with Splenda....good news, bad news.

I know some people stay away from peanuts. But I'm doing fine on the yeast prevention, and I know because I've had bad yeast before. Nightshades don't cause a problem for me. I've experimented.
I get all natural peanutbutter. The only ingredients are peanuts and salt. I tried salt free once and hated it.

I have to correct the "no carbs" in yogurt statement. There are 2 brands of yogurt that have zero sugars in them: Elan from Switzerland and Chatham from Vermont. The goats milk yogurts have less lactose than cow's milk yogurts as well. So, you might want to try a goats milk one since they are easier to digest and the carbs metabolize faster.

Are you sure there's no sugar in the low fat Stonyfield?
I looked at it the other day, and opted for the whole milk based Stonyfield, cause according to the "Ingredients" it had less sugar than the low fat Stonyfield.
Go figure!
And as I understand it, it's much more important to avoid carbohydrates (sugar, flour, etc) than it is to avoid fat.
