My daughter has been sick for some time.

I took her back to the doctor and he has

sent a blood test off to check for whooping

cough. She cough's until she vomits, veins

pop out of her forhead and then has nose

bleeds. She just seems like she can't fight

what ever bacteria this is. With lyme is it

hard to fight off another bacteria?

Thanks, Brneyedgrl

Yes.. brown eyed girl... beneath the stadium.

Other infections (such as bladder, sinus, eye, tooth, and kidney infections) often
develop and are hard to fight once the immune system is compromised.

Poor darling.. so sorry she is having a rough go of it.

And I know.. being a mom.. it is hard to watch this happening.

May you BOTH be better soon.

Part 2..

May I also suggest?

Others, including ME.. have had a post nasal drip develop when we never did before.. and the "stuff" tends to go down the back of the throat. This can cause coughing.. sometimes quite hard.

I take a sinus decongestant to help with the situation.. daily... as do others.

Another thought... Babesiosis can casue coughing.

Another thought.. during herxing and afterwards the toxins escape .. sometimes in the form of mucous.

I am NOT a doctor.. just hoping to share some basics to give you ideas to explore.

OK.. that was my break for the day... now back to the Senate stuff. YULK.

I am also sorry to hear about you daughter. I am curious though about her bloody noses. I have been getting them every day since I started taking the abx prescribed to me. I am on Mepron, Doxy and Zithro. I also believe I have other infections in my body that I can't seem to get rid of either. I am curious if anybody knows of lyme to cause bloody noses.

Also, I am curious if there is anyone else who experiences a worsening of symptoms around every other week? Is that normal?

Poor kid! Hope she feels better soon......

Just wanted to say that I had a persistent terrible dry cough with babesiosis. I was completely worn out! Something you might want to check out?

ivebeentricked...My grandson had frequent nosebleeds when he was being treated for lyme. We had to get a towel quickly...so much blood would come out! Dr. Jones told us that this was fairly common with kids with lyme. You probably should mention it to your doctor...I imagine the same thing could apply to adults.

My son was tested for whooping cough and it was negative.

He was later treated with Prilosec because he had "irritations" in his stomach.

His cough stopped after the Prilosec treatment, so I think he had acid reflux.

He doesn't cough anymore.
