Hi,

I have a clear cut Lyme case- was diagnosed about 6 weeks after knocking a tick from behind my ear- never had a rash- just one round red bump on the finger that got nipped by the tick-( and lots of usual symptoms)

I have been on 3 months of Doxy- first 300 then 400 mg-
I don't feel that I've had a real herx

Every month after my period the symptoms flare up- mostly muscle and joint pain- some lyme headaches

I've been getting cysts in my breast where there were none

I've been having painful lymph area under the arms

1) Should I retest bloods now? Which tests?
2) My Llmd doesn't treat coinfections first- is this common?

Thanks for any advice-
Sarah

Hi sarahjane,

I haven't heard of any LLMDS not treating co-infections first and doxy does cover some co-infections.

Usually doxy is what is given for tick bites, it was for me.
Have you been tested for Bartonella? Sounds like a possibility with the swollen lymph nodes.
Mine were swollen really bad after my tick bite in 2001.

Good luck to you.

Sarah,

Welcome to this 24/7 support group board!

As a newbie, you will find this board extremely active, so to help us all, please be as specific as possible in your topic line since we don't have time to read ALL daily posts....ok. Example: breast cysts & lymph nodes

Also for us late-stage lymies, it helps us tremendously if paragraphs for 6-8 lines of text only, and then double space between paragraphs. We need white space to help us comprehend so we can hopefully respond to your post...ok. Thanks!

Here's TREEPATROL's and tincup's combination newbie links.
http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/029917.html

Print off the links then check them off as you read as you could spend several months reading all of this.

print & read Dr. Barrascono's info first; you will come back to this often.

I came across this new web site of good info from Natl. Institute of Health's medline library....covering many other dx illnesses...FMS, CFS, IBS, etc. and was posted on www.lymenet.org.

Hope you each find some good info there. Saw it's from Art Dougherty, Calif. in 2001.
http://www.geocities.com/lymeart3/misdiag-links.html#disease

other 300 medical condtions mimicking lyme disease w/citations and author's
name, Art Dougherty, Calif., 2001, is at bottom of site page!
http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Oasis/6455/misdiag-links.html

Be sure to print off Treepatrol & Tincup's combination NEWBIE LINKS, check off as you read as there are months of reading there!

Colloidal silver solution is taken by the patient. Used as early as the 1800s and is currently considered a drug supplement http://www.bio.uni.edu/cei/lyme.html

see in-vitro studies http://www.silvermedicine.org/scientificstudies.html

in-vivo studies against HIV http://www.silverinstitute.org/news/4b01.html

nail in the coffin
read LETTER: COLLOIDAL SILVER IN PERSPECTIVE http://www.gaiaresearch.co.za/silver2.html

Database concerning silver as a medicine http://www.seo-tech.com/silver-site-map.html

Opinion follows.
cs is proven to purify and disinfect water, we are mostly water, it should in theory eradicate the pathogens that cause disease. Just a theory but the trials so far are VERY promising. According to WHO cs is not toxic.

Sarah, please EDIT your 1st lengthy post to break it up to 6 lines of text only.

We late stage lymies need lots of white space to comprehend. You can edit your post anytime and as often as you want. Just delete all the extra EDITED on _____ at the bottom of the post...ok.

Thanks. Betty G
