10 yr old off meds since Nov (treated by LLD for 3 yrs) has 2 recurring symptoms: memory and now seevere nightime vaginal pain. "Pins/needles, sharp knives" in her vag, seems like vulva is swollen and slightly protruding. SEVERE pain. . . thought we were done with this nightmare. advice?

Did you take her to the obgyn? I have some problems with pain down there as well. I also have a recurring skenes gland infection. It's very painful. If her immune system is weak, her body may be having trouble with normal discharge. I would take her in. Poor thing. I wish you the best.

Oh, I'm so sorry that your daughter is suffering! I, too, have this condition. Dr. S in Maryland calls it, appropriately, "ice-pick pain." I get it in other areas, too. I appear to have the skenes gland issue, too, and vulvodynia. I don't mean to make this about me; I just want you to know that it's not uncommon to have any of these symptoms with Lyme.

From what I get from Dr. S, toxins need to be addressed with CSM.

It's bad enough dealing with this as an adult; I can't imagine dealing with this as a child.

Please keep us posted. Steph

Hyvue, I'm so sorry to read about your daughter's pain and that she has gone thru so much at such a young age!

Welcome to this 24/7 support group board!
Here's TREEPATROL's and tincup's combination newbie links.
http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/029917.html

Print off the links then check them off as you read as you could spend several months reading all of this.

print & read Dr. Barrascono's info first; you will come back to this often.

Also, see Cheryl's extensive web sites on: LD DIAGNOSIS, SYMPTOMS, & TREATMENT ... wonderful!

starphoenix--If you don't mind my asking, what have you done about the skenes gland problem? They are telling me I need surgery to stop it from recurring. I have it right now and it is pretty painful! Any clue if surgery is the only way to go? Thanks!
