My LLMD wants me to get IV abx for 26 weeks. This seems like a long time!!! I think I got Lyme last year. My worst symptom is ringing ears and brain fog.Otherwise I seem fine. I have been on oral abx for 3 months.

Whoa!

My LLMD suggested to start out with 6-8 weeks of IV (Rocephin) and will monitor it from there, to see how I'm progressing.

Make sure he keeps a watch on your gallbladder!

That does seem extreme to just rx 26 weeks right off the bat. Are you also being treated for co-infections?

What kind of orals have you been taking? What kind of IV antibiotics is he going to put you on?

I'm sure you'll be hearing from the more educated bunch on this board about your tx protocol. They are a great bunch and will help you with everything they can.

Good Luck
