Do any of you get chills? Ive had them for about a week now. No cold or flu's or anything, just lots of chills and some aches. I was FINALLY able to get my labs drawn this morning-yay!! Had some scheduling conflicts last week. Im so hoping for some answers now.

Nancy,

That has been a symptom of mine for a really long time but then again I've had lyme for about 16 years. I don't know why I have chills but sure would love an answer...good question.

I just happened to notice your from CO also and was wondering if your seeing the new lyme docs in CS?

Hope your feeling better soon!

I had chills for a couple of years along with all the other symptoms. I remember a heat wave going on and I was shivering away. Fever did not accompany these chills. After ABX, they went away, though now, once in a while they come back.

Yes, I got terrible chills (no fever) during this last 6-month relapse. Other people wore T-shirts, I'd be shivvering in a sweater. I'd try and change for bed, and wind up with uncontrollable teeth chattering under the blankets until I warmed up. Really uncomfortable.

Regards,
Shaz

Sooo cold that I sleep under down comforter w 5 other blankets and wearing
a down jacket. Feel like an ice cube that even if I get in a hot tub heated to 110 degrees that won't melt. Just an ice cube floating in hot water.

I get this when I also get bruising.

And often I vacillate between these freezing chills and sweats.

My doc thinks this constellation of symptoms is babesia.

I still freeze too, although it's not near as bad as it used to be.

I kind of felt like I was freezing from the inside out. Like there was no way I was going to get warm.

I don't know if this is the same as chills but I'm cold all the time. Especially the past two winters. This is really odd seeing how I'm stuck down here for treatment but lived in Alaska.

My body temp is low also, around 96.5 most days. Hands, feet and nose are freezing. Did a search on this site and came up with what I believe to be the cause. Hypercoagulation, a thickening of the fibrinogen causing sluggish blood flow due to lyme.

There's suggested treatments here which at this time I'm not practicing due to finances.

Anyways, I hope this helps.

My temp is always slightly low like 97-97.6 I believe this is a fairly common symptom of Lyme. I do get occasional chills with cold feet and hands even in warm temps.

Chills can be a Babesia symptom.

I took my temp this morning-it was 96.0 Isn't that kind of low?? I know that if I go running to my dr (primary dr) he'll probably think I am nuts and send me home. These symptoms scare me when they creep up. Makes me worry that something else may be going on this time. Geez, just want to feel better soon.

YESS major chills here - the funny thing is that i can't tell when they are from a low body temp (96-97 is my normal range) or when they are from a fever.

for instance, i had a 99.5 in my LLMD's office this week (which is a fever for me)

hard to tell which brand of chills they are sometimes!

it's important to keep track in a journal though -it helps your doctor treat you - esp to identify co-infections.

Yes, I get chills. It's hard for me to tell if it's from babesia or low thyroid? Similar symptoms.
