This time I suspect that I was infected way back in 2000 - no rash, just some unrelated crazy symptoms.

2 wks of doxy was not enough. The bacteria is small enough to live in our cells in a dormant phase and it sounds like your lyme is emerging. The Bowen Test is extremely accurate so at least you now know what you have. You describe a slow pattern of increasing lyme symptoms including the depression and anxiety. After 3 years of treatment I am off of anti-depressants and ADHD meds, it's not "just you", it's you with lyme. Get a good LLMD, good treatment and from your general info here is sounds like you have a good chance at backing this off again.

Eventually the knee became less of a problem. I had muscle and joint pain that I thought was normal. I used to say that maybe I was just put together wrong. But after the Lyme diagnosis, it all began to make sense. I even began to remember pain that I forgot I had.

Pain and muscle weakness is not normal. Neither is depression or anxiety. Find somebody who can help you through this.
