I've been reading about acidity and pain, and have heard lately that drinking alkaline water (thereby raising the ph) can reduce pain. You can buy water ionizers that will process your tap water into alkaline water.

Does anyone have experience with this or have machine recommendations?

I don't have a machine but I use Miracle 2 neutralizer to alkanalize the water and I also TRY :=) to eat more foods that are alkaline. Cantaloupes. lemons, and most veggies. Then I test my urine or saliva with PH test strips to see how I'm doin. Haven't been strict or consistent enough just yet to see too much of a difference but it does make sense tyo me and I'm going to continue. Supposedly microbes cannot live in an alkaline environment

Never used the machines, but do know how to make myself more alkaline - quite easy, actually.

Lemon Oil - add to your water (which makes it VERY tasty), or take 2 half capsules full a day.

I monitor myself quite closely now. Was in the 5's before I started the oil - now my spit almost always at 7.

Yeast also thrive in an acidic environment - if you're took acidic, your body will automatically produce yeast.

It's quite cheap - www.youngliving.com

Hello,
Another lymie friend I know has gotten their kitchen sink hooked up with water like this...can't recall the manufacturer, but you can also buy bottled water that is naturally more alkaline...

Trinity water is what I get...It is 100% natural geothermal spring water...and is the first U.S. source water to obtain organic certification. There are zero manmade contaminates since they use extreme care in collecting the water...they do not drill or pump the water, or process it in any way. (Helpful to MCS people.)

They actually state on the bottle to limit yourself to two bottles a day(1 litre) due to it's high mineral content...making it like a nutritional supplement to some degree...pH is 9.6

This is the yellow label...there is also a blue label which has some of the mineral content reduced so there is no limit as to how much you drink of this one...but is still pure with no man made contaminates.

So I drink half of my 1 litre of yellow label in the morning and the other half in the evening after dinner meal is digested...and during the day I drink the blue label.

I was worried how the water would taste as I am very finicky about that, but it tastes real good to me...very smooth, silky tasting if you will. It doesn't taste salty at all or leave any weird after taste, but does have a "high" sodium content (15 mg per 8oz)...so anyone watching their sodium intake should discuss with doctor...

Also, anyone drinking high alkaline water of any type should know not to drink it with food, as one needs an acidic stomach environment to digest their food properly...(so not a water to swallow supps with along with meal etc!!)

I get my Trinity water from the local healthfood store, but here is a website if anyone wants to check them out.

All my best,
Kira

My LLMD was talking about this. He wanted me to spend a grand on some water treatment system. Purportedly has health benefits.
Club soda, baking soda, and lemon will suffice for now.
