Am starting Bicillen IM. Looking for any tips, experiences, ideas you might have to make this easier. I will be taking it 3 times a week along with biaxin. Thanks so very much.

I have been on antibiotics for Lyme and antimalarials for Babesia since October.

I had my first IM Bicillin injection last Monday. It is the first antibiotic that increased my energy level and mental clarity.

Next week I get two spaced apart 1.2 million IU injections. After that two at once, once a week.

I have had more pain with it which I atrribute to herx.

We're all so different. I couldn't tolerate Biaxin at all, but suspect it was more the ototoxic effect of the 'mycins' than herx. It apparently is very helpful for those who can tolerate it, so maybe you'll get a good combined effect.

Biaxin did increase my pain quite a bit, particularly the arthritic pain in my knees. All antibiotics do that for me, though.

Best wishes,

Paul

Hi:

I have been doing Bicillin IM since July. At first it was pretty tough, for about a month. Then things started to get better. I still get a walloping headache and nauseas feeling about 28 hours after the injections. I have a couple of achy, fatigue filled days a week. But, I am definitely much more functional and am able to work.

Yes I also had good results with 2mil units injected twice a week...I think it should have been thrice and done longer than the two months I was given as I was getting better all the time but the llmd I had at the time had issues I guess....

Anyway, get something soft to sit on while you're getting these things.

Get them for as long as you can as it sounds like a lot of us are helped in this way but never get enough of the stuff.
If even one chete is alive it can still cause us problems of relapse..........zman
