Does anyone know if constipation could be caused directly by abx or could it be a herx symptom? Have had no BM for days and am on amoxicillin and probenecid. Does anybody know what to take with abx other than acidophidus (already taking it) and yogurt to avoid this problem?

Hi,
Pure aloe vera juice, more fiber in your diet, prunes. I found a product at my super market called colon cleanse and it is in capsules that work great.
Don't let yourself get backed up.

Magnesium Citrate !

My son used to have constipation problems, before he started drinking this stuff. He takes a third of a bottle each day. [Wal-Mart] Lymies need the magnesium anyhow.

strange, i had the opposite reaction while on Amoxy.

Lots of Acidop, Mag, and Collace made for a smooth ride.
