I just took 8 days of Diflucan 200mg and am now on a 14 day run of Diflucan 100mg.....

I usually wake up with severe back pains(kidney/flank/lower back) and am unable to return to sleep. The last two days I haven't been awakened by pain or had to get up to void (urinate).

Ahhhhhhhhh.....almostlike a normal person......

I'll keep my fingers crossed just in case!

Hope this helps someone to eliminate their pain.

I've done runs of diflucan before but never for this length of time..........sure hope it's the diflucan.

shelleyA, I'm almost willing to bet my bottom dollar that it is the diflucan. its wonderful stuff but ive found that most people don't take it for long enough. yeast infections can be very deep and severe, i know cuz i had one for over a year and the pain was excruciating. it took quite some weeks for the entire mess to completely clear even tho i got relief within 2 or 3 weeks like you did. I've found that as a maintenance, i have to take Dif every other day to keep the yeast under control.

it's such a wonderful thing. ping

Thanks Ping.

Eliminating one area of pain (over 20 yrs. of it) is beyond words.

Am sure I will continue with the diflucan for a time..............and try and stay off antibiotics at the same time..........time will tell.

With lyme anything is possible BUT..........

You have to all the regular/normal illnesses and or diseases ruled out too....don't count on it always being lyme.

Seems that Candida had attacked your kidneys. Talk to your doctor. You may require better and longer treatment for Candida.
