Please read my Updated Nutshell post. It explains why this mineral is sooooo needed in fighting this disease. Magnesium is rapidly depleted in this disease.Today I will update it to include the latest information re: the pathway that Bb takes and how to put the brakes on this pathway.
It is a medically technical document. You will need to cut and paste it and drop it into a MS word file and print it out to study over and over until it "clicks". It will.
For general information, I have taken all of the lyme symptoms and linked them to a Mg deficiency symptom one by one in my multiple posts titled: Long overdue.
This research was done a long time ago and some links may no longer work, but it was all a "cut and paste" from internet sources. I tried to find more than one source and "reputable" ones.
Even WHEN the infection is gone, you will still have symptoms until your Mg level is restored and you will continue to be at risk for other diseases until this mineral is back in balance.
In an ideal world, you would be receiving IV doses of Mg which would be monitored closely until the infection is gone.
This is unlikely in the U.S.
Instead, we may have to (primarily) use the "skin route" to restore Mg levels in order to not reduce stomach acids - esp. near mealtime.
Our stomach is very acidic for a reason. We need stomach acids to breakdown the food for our "beneficial bacteria" in our intestine to use and in order for us to absorb the nutrients from our foods.
If the numbers of beneficial bacteria are reduced, this will lead to yeast infections and malnutrition.
You have to keep your gut healthy (probiotics!) and you have to restore your Mg level.
1. We know in lyme disease there is a very significant drop in Mg levels very early on - the Romanian (cancer hospital - cured 2 lyme patients) abstract.
2. We know that "autoimmune diseases" have been cured using Mg pyrophosphate and sublingual B6 - U.S. patent by Valletta.
3. We know this pathogen takes the pathway we do to make cholesterol. The enzyme responsible for this pathway can be inactivated by statin drugs (but nasty "side effects") OR by magnesium.
4. We know Mg controls PFK, another enzyme that is "rate limiting" for glycolysis - this bug follows that means to make energy. It does not like using oxygen (which is far healthier for us).
5. We know it takes Mg (along with Ca) to make HEALTHY antibodies. Our own highly targeted "antibiotics".
Re: coinfections...bartonella looks to also deplete Mg. Babesia, a protozoan, not a bacteria,...well...look closely at what German vets gave dogs with neuro babesia in the 1970s in my Updated Nutshell post.
What...natural things can cure diseases? Yes. Hard to believe, I know.
The body is out of balance. Restore the balance because:
A body in balance has no disease.
Yes, I know...this is NOT EASY.
Wishing you a SAFE journey back to health.
