would a bump up in thyroid meds be likely to make you more irritable than usual?

most of the time I let things just slide off my back - especially at work. or if I do get upset I keep my mouth shut and really don't stay upset for very long.

lately I've been more snappish in general - I'm not losing sleep over anything but it seems like things irritate me more than they used to (then again I have sat home and done next to nothing socially since starting the meds - in part crappy weather & long drives to go anywhere, in part b/c I haven't felt 100%.)

now I definitely am feeling a lot better in general, and the thyroid meds make me peppier, but I also find myself giving vent when something bothers me, which I didn't use to do (unless of course you are family - poor family!) I got into an argument with a customer service rep the other day for instance. my boss is mostly a great guy but lately a few things have made me irritable and I came pretty close to getting snappy with him the other day (i.e. standing up for myself as opposed to just smiling and ignoring it).

maybe it's good that I am "getting it out" but I don't want to become a curmudgeon!

any thoughts or ideas? thanks!

Being short tempered and snappish is part of lyme and I would bet it's the lyme and not the thyroid meds.

Maybe you should check with your doctor?

I knew that I was depressed and not feeling well, but I didn't know that there was yet another component that i wasn't addressing that had been sneaking up on me.
