Over the last two days, I frequently feel as though I'm being pulled to my right side and going to fall. This has happened to the point that I stumble and have to sit down. Is this common? - I feel dizzy too - almost like my eyes are crossed or dazed - but they're not (I hope). It's pretty frightening...any ideas? My LLMD is away until next week.

Yes! For some reason, I tend to tilt to the left and it makes it even harder to walk. I wonder if it has something to do with neurolyme and the loss of balance symptoms?

Yup...me too, towards the left side. The dizziness stuff is nasty. For me, kinda like having a deep hangover feeling that makes you want to keep your head low and motionless. Rather like having a free ride pass on the coasters at 6 Flags...

Notice the pressure on the back of my head increases as well...as do both my eyes. Hate the neuro stuff this bug causes...hoping there is going to be some relief on new abx.

Mine pulls to the right and then I almost feel I will continue falling backwards.
This symptom was noticed from the very beginning, about 1.5 years ago. It got less pronounced after many months of rx, but guess what is returning?

I am always feeling out of sync/balance... I sure would love to know what causes this. And why two of us to the right, others to the left?

I'm left handed, think this has anything to do with which direction we go? Interesting concept to explore.

I guess the rights should get together with the lefts and dance or something???

I had some of this at the very beginning as well. I remember having to put my hand against the wall every time I took a shower just to stable myself.

It's worse now though, because I actually fell. Yesterday I got out of my car and a couple of people were watching, I swaggered and stumbbled really as though I was drunk! If I hadn't been so scared, I probably would have burst out laughing. I had to sit down and wait to see if it would pass.

Island girl, I wonder why it is one side or the other also? My eyes were really painful and light sensitive when I first got sick - I was slightly near sided before but the rx was the same in both eyes - after Lyme and what seemed like some kind of brain inflammation - my left is significantly worse now than my right - weird.

I have mixed dominance though - write with my right but do everything else left (kick, throw a ball, left dominant when playing piano etc.) so, I'm really odd!!

Thanks for everyones comments - I'm really hoping that it's not progressive. Does anyone find medication to be worse or better for this?

Oh yeah, I definately get this from time to time too. You feel like you just got off of a tilt a whirl ride only you didn't get to experience any of the fun first. I get dizzy and nauseous when it happens too. Try some motion sickness meds (like dramamine) and see if that helps at all. I tend to pull to the right as well.

I also fall to the side... sometimes right, when my liver gets overloaded with die off and sometimes left, when my encephalitis is flairing up on the right side of my brain.

I have been finding myself not moving around or driving much lately because of the tipping.

I have recently thought maybe to give in to using a cane for balance if it might allow me to have more normal functioning, but how do I know what side to use the cane on?
