I'm in the wrong place, but this was just announced on the radio of Pope Paul's passing.

My heart goes out to his family and all of his Catholic family.

I admired him very much. 25 years ago when he came to the USA, he came to Iowa and attended a very small church perish where he gave a sermom in Cummings, Iowa.

Then he went to Living History Farms, Des Moines, and preached a sermon to around 400,000 in an open field.

We've closed been watching on CNN everything about Pope.

Fish, NO, I wasn't at either. You had to be a member of that parish to be at the small church.

Big event, hubby and I were on vacation out of state. I had done a lot of typing letters for the Iowa Dept. of Transportation about this event. My boss & Des Moines office were in charge of TRAFFIC FLOW on I-35 and getting folks to where pope would be. Thousands of hours were spent by many folks for this special occasion. Time to log off today.

As a Greek Orthodox, he was very much to be admired. He would invite our Patriarch to Rome every year.

A good guy all around.
