Well, I hope you all pray for me LOL!! My dr is putting me on a bunch of medication:
Zithromax 250 mg bid (is that once a day?) Mepron 750 mg/scc 1 tsp bid for 3 weeks Flagyl 500mg as directed Diflucan 100mg as directed.
I hope this doesn't all completely shut me down! I really just want to start feeling better. Oh and he also wants me to take Acidopholus with each meal.

No two people reacts the same way to meds, nor need do the same thing to navigate them (stay on, go off, taper..whathave you)
250 Zith bid is twice a day.. both my son and I were on that dose for a while, with other meds. Flagyl I have not used..but I hear differing stories from different patients, and different Docs. Some say they must taper up, others feel it is better to start in with the full dose. Some cannot use this drug, others say it is the best thing they used. Just be familiar with the adverse reactions, just so you know. With Flagyl, you must watch for periferal neuropathies in hands and feet. I know many who did not get that, and a couple who did, so just be aware is all.
Also remember..people with chronic infections, such as TB..undergo heavy abx therapy when needed. I don't think you should be scared, just informed and keeping and eye, in touch with Doc if anything strange is going on.
Best thing to do is try and eat well, drink allot of lemon water.. take some time..rest will only benefit you, especially in the beginning.. and note all symptoms in a notebook, and keep contact with your Doc.. any "intense" symptoms, check with them specifically on what they are.
You may experience a "productive" herxing period.. or there is a risk, as with any medication, that you may have an adverse reaction to one of the meds.. (why you need to check in with Doc to diferentiate..) OR..you might just start feeling better, and go through flare up cycles later.
Best of luck, Mo

When you get used to this, you should know that ketek is the latest generation of zithromax, and some Lymenetters say it helped turn their babs treatment around. It also hits the intracellular Lyme.
