I recetnly tested with 10 bands each on the Igenex western blot. Only the IGG was cdc positive, the IGM only had 3 cdc positive but I still had 10 on each. I have a appt with Dr J in NC in May.
After reading on so many groups I am very confused about doing alternatives or taking antibiotics. I just wondered if anyone knew how any of the LLD felt about Rife or the Vit c protocal. Thanks Suttles

Hi-

I don't know much about the Vit C or rife therapies and how LLMD's feel about them. I do know that there are lots of posts about both on this message board if you do a search for them.

Regarding holistic vs. antibiotic treatments: I think that you will find people have alot of differing opinions on this topic. My LLMD is pretty open to holistic types of remedies but he also uses abx too.

My personal opinion is that LD seems to affect everyone differently as does the many kinds of treatment so the best you can do is to try different things and stick with what works best for you. Hopefully you can talk to your LLMD about all of your options and come up with the right path for you to follow.

Me, although I tend to distrust "western" medicine and strongly believe in alternative treatments, I decided to go after the disease with abx and support my body with supplements, healthy diet and lifestyle while I'm taking them.

I plan to do alot of alternative cleansing and detoxing when I am done with the abx. But my LD was dx'd only 5 weeks after I was infected so I'm not as sick as alot of folks with chronic cases.

After 8 months of abx treatment (including separate courses of doxy, ceftin, zithromax and flagyl) as well as an agressive anti-yeast regimen I'm feeling pretty darn good. And I was feeling pretty crummy when I started. I'm almost done with the flagyl-one day left.

Sorry I don't have any answers but maybe this will help you decide what to do.

Wishing you fast healing and good health!
