As you all know from my hysterical postings recently I took my kids to see dr c in mo. They are fixing to start Ceftin and I would like some feedback from you guys on how you fared with this. How bad is the herx, how well does it work ect.
Also I have been taken off the iv zith after only 3 weeks and the brain fog was just starting to lift for the first time ever. The Roceph didn't help that at all.
Now I am back on the oral zith and slipping. The dr would not give me a reason, just told me to make an appt. even though mine wasn't scheduled for another month.
IV seems to work better for me. I think I have trouble absorbing them. What else works iv besides zith for the nuero symptoms.
I was also having pseudo seizures and dizzy spells, acompanied by huge brain farts. I think maybe the insurance refused to pay since zith was available orally. I need something IV that isn't available orally that works for the neuro symptoms that are only getting worse. please help with your sugestions. love kat.

My 8 year old daughter and I are also patients of Dr. C's.
She herxed like crazy on ceftin and was on it a very short time. Zithromax has been a better option for her. I think it depends on how high the bacteria load is as to how you will react.
As you know, everyone is a little different.
Take care!
