I know this isn't "Medical" - but I never go anywhere else but here - so I'm putting it here.

I read a couple of decent articles about LD at the following online newspaper (don't know if it appeared in print)
http://www2.townonline.com/ipswich/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=218375

I have no idea where the community of Ipswich is, but there's lots of parents having trouble with their sick kids...just thought y'all would like to see it.

I posted a positive comment at the site - which is like the RULE around here, right?

Maybe you, too, can encourage the little newspaper to keep up the good work.

That is all.

I missed this post too!

Playing too much World of Warcraft, I guess.

It is 'Jill's Rule' to post a comment to every Lyme article out there. How else can we get newspapers to want to continue to write articles about this diease????

Jill,

I think that is a great attirude.

Dr. Smartass,

I couldn't get the search engin to work to up my post to you so I will just rewrite it.

My little boy came in tto my room one morning this week or last week and told me heard someone burp in his room. "It was just the cat, " I told him it was just a cat. "No Mom, it wasn't a cat--THERE IS NO ONE IN MY ROOM!" He was getting a little upset so I told him. "There is a lady on LymeNet named Dr. Smart Bottom (this got his attention) and she doesn't hear things--she smells things. She smells farts! So this may be the lyme--just feel grateful you didn't smell that burp.

This story had the four things seven year olds love best, farts, burps, questionable names and farts.

He laughed for 10 minutes--if not more!

Thank you!

Linda

Who could not be attracted to you Dr Wiseass?

Although, I wonder what some of the doctors you've seen would say about you. Haha. I'm sure you've given them a piece of your mind once or twice!

Yeah, I've given them pieces of my mind...actually more like big chunks - which explains why I is the way I is!

hey linda, you and wiseass are my kinda people. I get wierd looks all the time at my form of parenting.

I homeschool and have for almost twenty years. A few years ago I was trying to be all technical and explain how babies get here.

I had the books and pictures and everything. I believe in honesty and openess with my kids and I thought they were getting it.

We were discussing it on the way home one day when after a few moments quiet, my 6 year old said, "so mommy which hole do they (the babies) come out of, your mouth or your nose".
