Ok....I have a question....I am having a terrible time keeping weight off.....my husband and I are both doing weight watchers.....he decided he wanted to lose 25 pounds and I told him I would do it with him...I just wanted to lose 10 pounds....he has lost all of his in 3 months....I have been only holding my own....actually may have gained 2 or 3 pounds....I have always been able to lose weight till Lyme and now it's impossible....
Now...one point...when I was on blood thinners I did better...weight was not an issue....but I also felt so much better...I didn't retain water....my skin healed up. I have been off the blood thinners for about a year and I can tell that things are going to the worse.....
Does anyone else have this problem....it's getting so frustrating....

I have always been on the thin side - even through most of this illness. HOWEVER, since I have begun antibiotic tx - I have had problems with my weight..You know your body and you know what it usually does, and it's not doing it anymore!
I eat more and dieting is really difficult whereas, before it didn't bother me and the weight just came off. I have gained seven pounds in the last four months - on a small boned person - it makes a difference.
I know every diet inside and out but I can't do it...If you figure out what works, let me know!

Medications can always make it difficult because of water retention to keep small amounts of weight off. The bigger problem with most Lyme patients gaining significant weight is due, to hormone issus/adrenal failure.
In alot of cases you metabolism rate drops so low that you will put on weight no matter what you eat. I think this is significant and proof that a portion of obesity is medically related.

So what can I do? Do you know if it's possible that the blood thinner made me feel better due to the fact that it helped my matabolism? It would make sense....even my dry skin improved.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Lyme can cause hypothryoidism, which both slows the metabolism and causes dry skin, among other things.
I'm borderline hypo, but still saw improvement on medication. Particularly in that my feet and hands don't get as cold.

No I've never been checked...seems like I've been checked for everything else...I just know somethings out of wack....I don't heal well at all....a scratch can take two weeks to heal...when I was on blood thinner that didn't happen....
