I got my wisdom teeth pulled [ answer to sun ray]out last year , not knowing that i had lyme. I was lucky I made it through the procedure without having permanent nerve damage. I went throuth this whole science fiction ordeal: after the swlling went down from the original extraction, my face suddenly looked unrecognizably different for the first time in my life: it was long, pretty and oval not round and blown up disproprtionally. A few days later , I woke up sicker than ever and more swollen . My face looked like a mask, HUGE!!I jumped to stage 3 of lyme right away cause I was only given penicillin fro the dentist for a week. My veins were green, heart problems, thought I'd die. Finally I figured it was lyme, yadayada, facial bones and jaw are still monstruous! I started ketek about 2 weeks ago. Wanted to know if it's better than biaxin that Ive been takin for9 months now. So far I'm worried cause I'M SICKER AND wonder if that wisdom tooth extraction just did it for me!

Lynliz, I had tooth pulled 4 days prior to sudden death flu like illness in summer 99. I've always wondered if that was the straw that broke the camels back.

That molar had given me trouble for years, spent lots of money trying to save it. Finally one day I couldn't take the throbbing anymore and had it extracted.

I think the toxins surrounding that tooth said let's go play and wreak havoc. And they succeeded.

I had a non-impacted wisdom tooth pulled in the early 1990s (Lyme since 1984, no sufficient treatment until 1999). It was no picnic, of course, and as I recall I felt TOXIC afterward. It just knocked me for a loop for several days -- death warmed over --the shakes, head spinning, short of breath, weakness, cold sweats, etc. I can imagine having all 4 yanked at one time would wreak some havoc on the body.
