I thought I would share an elimination-type diet that has worked really well for me. It eliminates yeast and you are supposed to do it for five days to see how your symptoms improve and if you lose five pounds than you definately have a yeast issue.

Here it goes:

NO - alcohol, ginger ale
NO - cheese, yogurt, sour cream
NO - Baked goods
NO - breads or rolls
NO - mushrooms
NO - vinegar, olives or ketchup
NO - BBQ sauce, chili sauce, or soy sauce
NO - Antibiotics (sorry about that)
NO - Commercial Beef
NO - Dried fruit, nuts or seeds
NO - Spices or dried herbs
NO - Herb teas
NO - Fruit juices unless squeezed yourself

I feel much better - sleep well, sore throat gone and no extreme lethargy (especially aroung 4pm)and I lost the weight.

It's very interesting although, I know many of you can't do it b/c of the abx - although I guess you can anyway to reduce the yeast load.

Let me know what you think and if it helps anyone else (I hope so)!

Oh, I see you've been there, done that! Well, I guess great minds think alike. It is interesting, however, that your doc's list lets some things in mine doesn't.

I had a really weird, almost herx-like reaction last night - nausea, hot, dizzy etc. - do you experience this from eliminating yeast?
