When I started on Mepron/zith it brought out my night sweats, periods of depression/anxiety after taking it and it made me so fatigued at night after my evening dose I used to fall asleep with the light on.

It did help massively tho and LLMD's say it kills a lot of Lyme too.

My symptoms on Mepron/Biaxin:
1. After a week, a serious die-off rash, mostly on my back and around my joints.
2. Fatigue
3. At day 10-11, INTENSE head pressure.

But Mepron is great. It got rid of the worst of my brain fog and fatigue.

Hi everyone,

I am on day 11 of the clindamycin/quinine.

I am only on 1/3 dosage or less of meds due to
too much herxing.

I am wondering if others has BLOATING from this combo? I thought it was yeast, but it is not I dont think, as had upped probiotics, and added in garlic, did not help.

Does babesia have a 28 day growth cycle like lyme? BOY! am I sick from these meds, is not like lyme herxing.

thanks,

Trish

Don't know if there are herxes with die off of babesia...

I took Riamet in Christmas, first night my head turned like if I was totally drunk for a few minutes, then I had a profuse sweating, like in the onset of lyme/ babesiosis.

Second and thrird days/ nights, nothing special.

I realize that after Riamet I feel no more chills, cold, my body temperature raised like magic. I suffered from lyme for about 4 months, always with low temperature. Night sweats are totally gone. Morning temperature is warm and confortable now.

Good luck!

Where is you artemisinin - I would check to see if your LLMD will allow it. The 3 combo helps

Health---RE: bloating, I have never been on exactly your combo, but I have had SEVERE bloating with other babs drugs, although I dont think it was from the drugs themselves.

I did find a connection b/t PRE-biotics or F.O.S. and bloating for me. Some claim upping the probiotics can CAUSE bloating. I thought that was crazy until it started happening to me.

I had to start to eat more yogurt and take less pills. Now I just take one THERALAC a day and that is AWSOME stuff.

Electric---My babs symptoms that were brought on by mepron/zith were dizziness, sweating, low grade cyclical fevers, hot face and cold hands, fainting (only once), and fatigue. I still have almost all these things once a month.

Hope it helps,
Trails

thanks everyone,

Char, I have not found my ideal dosage yet.
I started off with 1/2 cap of clindamycin,
then was up to 2 caps twice a day, for ONE day, then added in the quinine at 1/3 cap a day.

Clindamycin caps are 300mgs each
Quinine Sulphate is 100mgs each

The day after I took 4 caps of the clindamycin and 1/3 cap of quinine, I thought I was going to die. I stopped meds for the whole day then took 1 clindamycin and 1/3 cap quinine. My left side herxes my left foot feels like it is frost bitten, and cannot barely feel it, my breathing is deadly, my left arm is like a rag doll arm, just hangs there. Left side head symptoms too.
Slept all day yesterday, head feel like BLOW off, herxing. nausea severe.

Today my breathing is so severe I think I am going to die. I know if I continue I WILL die, so today am going to figure out if the dose is too high, or something else wrong.

I have had breathing issues for 17 years, they did improve with lyme antibiotics, but maybe this is intense herxing.

I am also wondering if it is candida, not sure.
Took my garlic now, this AM, and later see how I do. I did stop meds for one day, the babesia meds and so ill, worse off them, so may need

1/3 cap clindamycin twice a day and 1/3 cap quinine. Not sure.

Breathing deadly, like I cannot keep up with breathing, like I have run a marathon and cannot catch my breath. I will see how I do later, hope it improves.

I am on day 12 I think of these meds.

Trish
