Ever since I have had lyme, I get sugar rushes if I eat something really sweet like cake or syrup. Within about a half an hour I start to feel sort of nauseous and weak. Then my body starts to overheat and sometimes I have to quickly get to the toilet. I have been tested for diabetes, glucose different times but it is always normal. I am wondering if this is connected to the lyme. Lately, I try to stay away from sweets but sometimes they are just too tempting. Anybody else get this reaction from sugar?

It sounds like you've got a yeast overgrowth. Look into yeast/candida overgrowth. The yeast feeds off sugar, and sugar rush is a major symptom.
