I puked my guts up last night - I think it's just some virus stopping by to rattle my immume system.
And as miserable as I felt with my stomach - I feel like a pulled a muscle with all the @#$% wretching - and now my ENTIRE BODY hurts like hell. I mean, I felt like I was gonna die last night.
I'm not feeling that much better today - trying to choke down some toast & hot tea so I can medicate the crap out of myself and actually get some sleep.
I was just wanting to verify - when your body gets sick with something else - does that signal the Bb & the Babs that the watch dog is watching other matters so they can just have a damn field day in my body?
I can't remember when I've felt this bad! (Of course my memory stinks so that's not saying much...)
I just have a low grade temp - so I'm thinking it's just a virus - I don't feel good enough to drag myself to the doctor today. (They really should make house calls.)
That is all - just wanted someone to say: "Yes, it's the Lyme making you feel much worse - as opposed to something to do with the virus that might be slowly killing me. (Yeah, I know I'm not the least bit melodramatic.)
Thank you.
Have a better day than me,

Yes, when you come down with some other illness, the keets have a field day in your body! I used to always wonder how other people could recover from the 24hr virus in 24 hours!
I could NOT figure that out! It would take me 2-5 days to recover from that stuff! Of course, I didn't know I had Lyme either!
Hope you feel better SOON! You probably need some Pedialyte by now! Too bad pharmacies no longer deliver! [well, most don't]

WA: I'm sorry to hear that you're so sick. Could it have been food poisoning?
You said, "I just have a low grade temp." What is your normal temp? If you have low thyroid issues, your normal temp could be a degree or two lower than 98.6, which means a "fever" of 100 degrees can affect you like a fever of 102 in a "normal" person.
A fever will cause all kinds of body aches. (I just confirmed this a couple weeks ago.)
Take care, Carol

Hey Doc, This has happened to me twice since I started IV Roc. I almost called 911 but I didn't hav ethe strength. I could not believe how much and how often I was vomiting. I lose two days; one to the all night vomiting and the next to trying to recoup. Tea and toast sounds about right. Be gentle with yourself and know you are not alone. Blessings,
With all things being relative - I suppose I could say I'm doing a bit better.
I don't think it was food poisoning because my hubby was sick too, actually before me and he didn't he my cooking - otherwise I'd be suspect of it! (many people are - haha)
I just felt so awful last night - in addition to the 'if I move I might puke more' feeling - my neuropathy pain was killing me. And I didn't want to take all my meds cause I figured I'd just throw them up! So I lied there thinking about my Godmother (died 1 yr ago) who used to live with us and almost cried smetimes about her neuropathy pain, and sometimes she'd say: "I should just have them cut my legs off." (She was diabetic - and a little overdramatic.)
But last night - I was in agony. Suddenly I understood the type of pain she must have been in - and felt guilty for not being more understanding at the time.
I might have had my hubby drive me to ER for serious pain med if he wasn't feeling so badly himself. Unfortunately, our 11 year old is not yet ready to chauffer her sick parnets anywhere just yet.
Hubby stayed home today, and we mostly slept the whole darn day. I hope I can sleep tonite too, still feel like I need it.
Thanks for your replies & good healing thoughts,

I don't know if this will help at all, but my symptoms were getting worse and I was ralphing also. I realized that I had been getting my abx/food/vitamin dose timing messed up (brain fog). I was taking food/vitamines w/doxy and not eating w/bactrim. What was happening was I was no longer saturated with doxy and the bactrim was tearing up my guts. My bad

Hey Doc
Hope you are feeling better tonight. Speaking from my experiences anything I catch knocks the heck out me.
Doesn't matter what it is. It seems to go to the weakest areas and lasts a long time.
I don't believe in any 24 hr anything in this body. I guess you feel the same.
My kids were sick a while ago and I caught it the same time. They were down for one day, I was totally down for 2-3 weeks. My joints still feel like they are broken and the nerve pain and headaches are unbearable. All my lyme symptoms had a party. It is terrible.
I would like to tell you it is the lyme but I know the virus messed you up more and brought out all your symptoms.

Hey Dr. W.A. - I think I read in your blog that you got a positive Babs test back...Have you started treating with Mepron and Zith. yet? Babesia can make a person extremely nauseas - but then again I have a friend who has lyme without coinfections and he spent 8 months before he was diagnosed throwing up nearly every day...I wouldn't assume it is the flu...I would make sure your meds are hitting the strain of lyme you are dealing with...if you haven't experimented with different abxs this might be the time to try a new one.
Just a thought...
