I've had pain in the liver gallbalder area for about 3 - 4 weeks. CT scan and ultra sound have both been done and the only thing they show is numerous liver cysts. GP referred me to GI specialist.

When I saw them last week I was only able to see the PA...doc is booked for 3 weeks. He wants me to try extra fiber and then if that doesn't work use a med for IBS which by the way I don't think I have.

My regualr doc said they can't do a hidascan that would be under GI's area. At this point in time I feel like nothing is happening and I'm still feeling lousy. What should be the next step and can abx cause this type of pain and problem?

Do I demand more

I don't know beans about liver cysts.

The liver/gallbladder/abdominal pain I had in the past was meds related. Went away when I stopped those meds, either temporarily or permanently.

Organic dandelion tea

Milk thistle

Artichoke

Turmeric

There's also a mushroom-based supp called "Liverforce" by New Chapter that's good.

Definitely consider the milk thistle! And I'd bet the dandelion tea would work too!

You can get a Hida, but it does involve injecting a radioactive substance.

If it were me, I'd try the natural stuff first. I'd be willing to bet it's the abx making your liver angry!

Snowboarder, read this from Gigi and then read it again, because it makes sense.

I used to have tremendous pain in my liver/gall bladder area and my spleen on the left side. I had ultrasounds done twice and they said everything looks normal.

Well it sure as heck didn't feel normal, so I come to realized that they were toxic and being overworked and to be honest they were
mad.

Take care,

Pam
