Hey all -

I'm starting a new website (about Lyme) because I have nothing better to do while I'm lounging around like the Queen of Sheba.

I'm wanting to include a section entitled:
"You Might Be a Lymie If..." because I read the thread over on "General" and thought it was great!

SO - if I can use your quote - please send it to me, or just add it on this thread.

I will NOT use someone's quote unless I am given permission to do so.

ALSO - I will have a "Guest Columnist" corner for those of you that like to write to vent, educate, or inspire. I'd love to share your viewpoints. (I think...??)

If you have something you'd like me to put on my site - email it to me.

[email protected]

Also, I'm open to any other suggestions.

FYI - It's not on the web just yet - I'm creating it off-line. I'm working on it as fast as I can - but my @#$% computer keeps overheating and shutting off - which makes for a slower process....and I just started Mepron so that means I may start overheating & shutting off, too!

I appreciate any help you send my way!

Blesings,

You might be a Lymie if you go to the doctors all the time and they keep telling you everything seems fine.

Thanks Cave!

Those sound fun. Don't you think I would need the writer's permission, though?

Thanks Carol -

I think every Lymie has at least one good doc duh quote!

C'mon my fellow lymies - help me out - give me your permission to use one or more of your doc duh quotes, or your "you might be a Lymie if..." or any other feedback.

Lyme Awareness Month begins today - and that means you're supposed to be helpful to your fellow Lymies...and when I say that I mean ME.

Please?

After finding a tick - I had never seen one so small, my husband who is an env sci teacher said it was a DEERTICK! - I went to my internist and he said, "It has to be attached for a much longer time and the cases in Louisiana are negligable."

Here I am 8 years later with a plaque in my neck which must be MS.

Hey DR W....here's mine I had posted....you can use any or all, as you so desire....have at it!!!

OBTW...I've been waiting for your update on your 'old' site...I love reading it, (you're very entertaining!!!)...but this must be why it' hasn't been updated recently, cause your too busy with the new site....I'll give ya that much...Ha! No...seriously, IMO, you have a great talent for writing..keep up the good work!

Who knows...some day I might be able to buy a book written by DR Wiseass!!!

Good luck and take care...have a wonderful day....(and keep ME smilin' :P)

Hope you have improvement on your new meds...I just started IV Rocephin last Monday, things are starting to stir up, so just waitin now... with the big guns loaded!
Later,
~laserred~

So here are mine:

You might be a Lymie if....you can hide your own Easter Eggs
I think I'd be able to this year !!

You might be a Lymie if...you have gone to 20 doctors and have still do not know why you are sick!!

You might be a Lymie if....you have to take a plane, train or automobile to another state to see a knowlegable doctor!

You might be a Lymie if....you have a number of doctors that know what you have but refuse to treat you for it!

You might be a Lymie if....you're GP, family and friends think you're a hypochondriac!

THANK YOU FOR THE REPLIES - KEEP 'EM COMING!

Laserred - great quotes! And thanks so much for the encouragement!

Yes, I haven't updated the blog in awhile, & I'm trying not to feel guilty about it.

I've been so busy reading, trying to figure out HOW to do a website, fighting with my computer that wants to overheat & shut off, delving into the world of advocacy, and trying to survive Bb and Babs. So yeah, I've been a little busy.

I probably need to update it a bit - just so other people won't think I'm dead, huh?

Thanks again!
