I now wonder if I have just a Yeast
Overgrowth (Candidiasis) instead of
Lyme. The Symptoms for Lyme and Yeast Overgrowth seem almost identical

One thing for certain is that I don't
seem to have any pain. My primary
symptoms are:

Extreame Fatigue
Total Brain Fog from 10AM to 6PM
Stiffness/Swelling all over in the morning
Sunlight causes extreame fatigue
I don't burn easily from sun
Buzzing/Riniging In the ears
Ridiculously sensitive to sound/noise.
Blurry vision

What are some tell-tail signs that point
you to Lyme or Yeast?

Thanks!

Tom

There is a lot of overlap in yeast and lyme symptoms...

For me I've had bouts of yeast problems since long before I had LD-so I can kind of tell when I'm having a yeast flare up (usually when I've fallen off the sugar wagon.)

But the main thing with yeast is that you should start feeling better if you go on a strict yeast control protocol which includes diet, probiotics and most likely nystatin or diflucan or both along with some supplementation. The yeast protocol isn't going to cure lyme (although it might help someone with lyme feel a little better)

The other thing is whether or not you have any positive indicators that make it more likely to be lyme then yeast...for example the bullseye rash, postivie Igenex tests, being bitten by a tick, etc. A good LLMD should be able to help you to determine if you have Lyme or not.

If you are being treated or have been treated with abx then there's a really good chance that you have yeast.

My suggestion is to get a copy of The Yeast Connection by Dr. Crook and see if you see yourself in his descriptions and try his yeast control plan. He also talks about other food sensitivities which you might like to consider too.

Also you if don't have an LLMD and you think you have Lyme then you need to find a LLMD soon.

Wishing you fast healing and good health!

Yes I am seeing a LLMD. He started me
on Doxy right away based on my symptoms.

He also set me up with nystatin that I
will start next week after I have a week
of no sugar/no carbs to weaken the yeast
first.
