I am getting ready to begin ceftin and I read the abx post where I saw very few references to ceftin being helpful. I woould feel better about subjecting my body to this if I felt more positive about the tx.

Anybody? Thanks.

I started taking Ceftin 2 weeks ago and so far i cant tell much difference. However my llmd says to give all abx at least 4 weeks before you give up on them.I am also taking Nystatin 4 times a day along with it.I will keep you posted on response to the treatment.God Bless.

Sounds like we have the same LLMD> Yes, keep me posted. Did you start with doxy? See any results? Thanks.

I have the same LLMD.

I didn't see much improvement with doxy but have had some really good days on the Ceftin and some not so good. But overall it has worked better for me than doxy.

I am on my 2nd month of Ceftin. If I continue to do well, I am going to ask Dr. C about another month - as he says he doesn't mind how long you stay on an antibiotic if it is working.

I was on Ceftin and Biaxin together. My symptoms made me miserable but I was not in terrible condition. These definitely helped the physical problems.

It's okay, just a weaker version of rocephin and omnicef. That's probably why you didn't read much about it--people just take other forms.

If you are ramping up to see which level of antibiotics will work for you, it's a good start if you take it as part of a combination. Just be cautious about mistaking a reduction in symptoms for a cure, and keep on it until you are convinced you are okay.
