Hi - I have been on these two meds for a week and have not been able to take them regularly with having MAJOR bloating, hyperactive bowels, real bad sleep, etc. Anyone know if this combo. is a problem? I have taken both of these meds. for LONG periods but separate from one another and tolerated them well.

It has been quite some time since I have been on Tini. so at first a thought it was a harsh Herx., but 7 days straight of bad sleep has worn me out!I do not think Tini. was a med. that is brutal on the stomach. Unless the freak situation of a pharmacy making an error or something??

I see my LLMD tomorrow and feel like insisting we move to a Bicillin protocol. I've never done this in 11+ years

Thanks for any help you can offer.
Bob

Take it easier. Perhaps cut on Tini, take a brake of Tini for a week or two.

Tini and Amoxy is a powerful combo. Later you may slowly increase doses again and see what happens.

Make sure your diet is perfect: no starchy food, no products on yeasts, no anything with sugar (including fruits, tomatos etc).

Thanks...I would probably agree that you both are right. I guess it is correct that yeast could always be an option. It just seem to come on like a landslide and my past experience with yeast flares were always built over time. I admit that I err to side of having potatoes, white bread, pasta more often then I should (3 or 4 X a week)

I am so thin that I have to starve out all these cards. 100% of the time! (I have to learned to disregard this though - better to be thin as a rail then have neurosymptoms bringing me to me knees!)

Anyone have ideas on favorite sources of low yeast carbs? I was speaking with a nutritional expert who cautioned me againt basmati or brown rice versus plain white.(don't have the logic at my fingertips though)

Have a great day!

It's important to watch the sugar in the diet, but are you also taking acidophilus?

Antibiotics (abx) kill good bacteria along with the bad. Taking acidophilus will replenish the good bacteria in your system. It needs to be excellent quality with adequate amts per capsule.

In "Diag Hints & Treat Guidelines...", Dr B recommends 2 capsules with each meal. www.ilads.org/burrascano_1102.html
Print a copy if you don't have one - about 32 pages of excellent info.

pages 24 & 29: Acidophilus info

Also, be sure that you have 2 hours between antibiotics & acidophilus - before & after.
If not, the abx will kill the acidophilus before it has a chance to help you.

If you're taking abx with meals, plan a snack 2 hours later for acidoph.

I always plan my pills so the acidophilus is taken after my abx in the evening. That way, I feel like the acidoph has all night to help me before I hit it with more abx the next morning. It's worked for me.

I get my acidoph at the health food store.
Experience has taught me that, in my case, acidophilus seems to be about as important as my antibiotics.

Another possibility -
Have you developed lactose intolerance?
Some people find that their bodies can't digest dairy products as well & it can cause bloating & other problems.
Just a thought.
Not sure, but acidophilus may help this, too.
