has anyone out there that has had tinnitus, ever had it stop!!!! I am on IV abx for 3 weeks now and that is one reason I went on IV praying that it would stop!!!! It has not come close to stopping!!!!! Zithromax that I am to add in next month is supposed to make it worse. The treatment almost seems useless and I am thinking of stopping all meds and just praying. No one can ever give you any straight answers. I go to DR J in NC. And this herx stuff can really stop your life cold!!!!

tinnitus was one of the first symptoms I noticed years ago. Since I have been on abx almost 2 years it has gotten better. Slowly but surely it has gotten better but there are trade offs now I have visual disturbances floaters, etc. I live in Atlanta now, but I lived in Mt. Pleasant for eight years. Charleston area has really become a hot bed for Lyme. I believe that is where I got it had minor symptoms for years.

It was very very loud and annoying for about 6-7 months into treatment when I finally noticed any sustained improvement. It has been VERY slowly getting better since. I am now 14 months into treatment. Still have it, but it is low and in the background and not as annoying. I mostly hear it now only when it is quiet.
When I started out treatment, visual disturbances, floaters, were minor for me. They have gotten more pronounced and annoying for me now.

This is the reason I think I've had this for a very long time--I remember having tinnitus when I was a very, very small child and as a teenager. I think it may have come and gone according to how my immune system was working.

Forgot to mention that like "quic" I can only tell a slight ringing now if their is absolute silence. Maybe that is why I use a noise maker at night.
