My MD just called and said that the cervical MRI that I had showed spondylosis and narrowing and I should see a neuro surgon.

I have had a burning neck and shoulder pain for a few weeks now and last year a pinched nerve in my left arm and shoulder.
That was xray be a chiropractor and I never saw a MD for this.
I did had a western blot in dec that had 10 bands on each IGG and IGM.
Only IGG was cdc positive.

My fingers still have numbness and my MD said that this is on both sides and my other arm is worse.

Could this be a lyme thing?
I am suppose to see the LLD this week and it is going to be a very long drive.
My husband is taking me but I just wondered about this.
My arms feel like they are on rubber bands and my neck feels like it is on one sometimes.
Can someone please let me know.

Lyme can mess with your spine and cause spondylosis as well. I have neck problems as a result of lyme neck pain and crunching sound when I turn my neck from side to side. Cervical MRI showed "arthritic changes" in one year from the last MRI.

Yes. Spondylosis can be caused by Lyme and other infections. I have this in my cervical spine.

I would research ALL of your options BEFORE surgery. For some people, surgery can be the answer. But, if Lyme is the underlying cause, then you may have problems arising after surgery as well.

Some people can get these problems corrected without surgery. I worked with feldenkrais practitioner who said he has seen cervical narrowing reverse on one of his clients. Feldenkrais is a method of learning how to use the body in a way that reduces stress on the body and keeps muscles relaxed.

Feledenkrais didn't work for me, I think because I wasn't treating Lyme at that point. But you may want to look into it.

The way I got the burning under control was the muscle relaxer Flexeril and working with an excellent physical therapist. Over the last couple months I've started doing yoga regularly (3-4 times a week) and at first it increased the burning and numbness, and now it's almost gone. I think strengthening the muscles helped.
