Anybody happen to be watching "Good Morning, America" last Tuesday and see me in the audience? I was the one holding the big retina-shatteringly green sign that said "Learn About Lyme Disease." My little public service announcement...
I'm told that especially right at the end of the show, there was a good clear shot of me and my sign. Several people in the audience, and even the show anchors, asked me about it. Number of people said "My best friend, aunt, cousin, husband... whoever... has lyme disease." Several of these people helped clear a spot for me so I could hold my sign up.
Even got to talk with Diane Sawyer and Charlie Gibson for a few minutes after the show, and Diane gave me a hug.
How cool is that?
They won't allow web addresses on signs, but hopefully somebody out there who's been suffering without a diagnosis saw my sign and will start sopme research that will lead them to some help.
Anyway.
Exciting part of my vacation.

Three cheers for Trillian!
I didn't see the show, but WOW you are terrific! Thank you so much. We need lots of attention getters and press coverage especially for Lyme Disease Awareness Month.
EVERYONE can write a short letter to their local newspaper and give www.lymenet.org as a place to learn more.
It takes only a couple of minutes and you can do it by e-mail. Just look at the Opinion/Editorial section of your paper and you will find directions there.
Bet you will get published! Maybe we can keep track of all the efforts people here make to further awareness.
