1. Does anyone know if taking LDN (low dose naltrexone) does anything for Lyme? I was told I had MS so I've been taking LDN.
2. Which medications are right to take? I've read that Tetracycline (sumycin brand) 3x a day for a month.
Then add 100mg Biaxin 2x day for another month.
200mg Plaquenil 2x day added for the next month.
Ceftin, biaxon, mepron, zithromax.
Then I read that mino/rifampin is better...

Thanks. I appreciate sooo much all guidance. You guys are the best!

Different medications work for different people. There are also different strains of Lyme so we each have a different experience.

I started with 100mgs doxycycline twice a day. It wasn't enough.

I got an LLMD and switched to Tetracycline (generic brand) 750mgs twice a day. I have made a lot of progress on this.

This week I'm switching to Plaquenil & Biaxin.

My LLMD says it takes 3 to 4 months to know if a drug is working so I did 6 months of tetra. I'll probably do the next combo for 4 months or more.

Most begin on doxy. You need at least 400mg a day.

I never heard of a dosage of 100mg Biaxin. I took 1000 mg a day. Most patients take Plaquenil WITH biaxin.

Minocycline is very good. You'll have plenty of time to explore all the different meds, trust me. There's no rush.

Do you think you've had Lyme for awhile??

I don't know anything about LDN. I just hope it's not a steroid. If it is, you need to get off it as soon as possible....under dr's orders of course.

Have you read Dr B's guidelines? I would suggest printing it out. You'll need to refer to it time and again.

I am not a dr!
