I went to a new LLMD yesterday, Dr. "B" in West Chester. Has anyone gone to him? He was very nice and spent 1-1/2 hours talking to me.

I have eczema EVERYWHERE on my body with the exception of my face and hands. Ready to kill myself! He said he has seen this before with lyme, felt badly that I have been shlept from incompetent doctor to incompetent doctor for 2 years. *(he did not come right out and say that but just by his comments I could tell he was anmoyed) NONE of them with the exception of one who was not qualified enough would listen to my tick bite/lyme theory.

Unfortunatley I was given prednisone 3 times by other doctors before I knew it was seriuosly bad for lyme patients and now it is worse.

I cannot start any treatment for 2 weeks as my previous doctor had me on 500mg zithromax and he wants a bunch of tests run anti-biotic free. (dont know if I can survive for another 2 weeks!!!)

He is concerned I am dealing with multiple strains having been bitten 5 (yes 5) times in the past 2 years.

depressed doesnt even start to cover it.

but I guess I should be happy and have hope that this doctor will help me. Right?
thanks,
pattiecake

Stick with your new Dr and hold on it is a really nasty road lots of mountains and valley's Sorry about the steroid treatments thats probaly one of the reasons for your eczema.

I hope this works out for you.

And remember there is no time table on this disease it is different in every person. And so are the abx combo's its like chess its similar in every game but lots of different outcomes and move's based on what the other player pulls out of his bag and the other player is lyme.

Good luck

Green, we do not give the doctors names out on the board. If you had an email address listed, maybe someone could email you the information.

Dr. B In WC, with a short last name, is VERY good and has been treating TBI for many years. He has taken a friend of mine from a wheel chair to an active life again.

It is my understanding( I don't see him) that he believes there is an infectious trigger for many types of arthritis and treats in that manor.
