I had a hida scan done and during the test I noticed my neuro symtpoms went crazy and now joints are hurting.

Do hida scans have side effets for lyme patients?

Robi,

No not yet! I feel like I'm having a horrible herx.

Have you had this test?

I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering, tickalert! That's terrible. Do you think it could be a herx, and not from the test?

I almost had a Hida scan last year.

Lymetoo,

Could definitely be. LLMD has me off abx but I've been taking artemisinin and been herxing?

Is this your first time to take something for babesia? If so, that could be it.

I had a HIDA Scan about 2 weeks ago. I didn't have the reaction you are speaking of after the test.
However, the pain I had after the dye was injected is the same pain I get after eating. It was extremely painful, I was nauseous, etc. I was sure this confirmed that my gall bladder was the problem. Well, the results came back at 93%. My LLMD still feels it's my gall bladder, as do I, but the gastro doc says absolutely not.
Now what?
It never ends.

Thank you everyone.

Lymetoo,

This is the first round of treatment for babesia so it definitely could be that.

My alternative doc recommened arteminisin and I've been herxing on and off.

Yesterday and this morning I was so nauseated...yuck!

Abx puts such a strain on the body and I know my body needs to heal.

LLMD suggested zithro 1 pill a week until this is figured out. Zith stays in system 7 days which I never knew and at least I won't loose all ground I gained during the last 6 months.
