How long would you have to be off antibiotics to get an accurate western blot re-test?

Hi Sick, not so sure you have to be off to get a positive test. A few more specifics and we'll be better able to help.
How long have you been ill ? Have you been tested before ? Results ? Are you receiving treatment ? How long ?

I've been treating With wariuos antibiotics since August'04, because of a positive fron Igenex. Really don't feel any better. My primary care DR. re ran the WB and all came back negative. I am aware that being on the antibiotics along with other reasons could have produced this result. He however is not so aware and is convinced there is no way I have Lyme. I am not so convinced. That is why I was courious as to how long I would have to be off antibiotics to have an accurate test. P.s. I plan on finding another Primary Dr.

6 Weeks minimum. 8 weeks would be better. For some unknown reason the Wb will be more accurate if the blood is drawn in the eve.
