I live here in Ontario, Canada, and a fellow Lyme sufferer in B.C. told me of a pharmacy in B.C. that is selling the toxin binding agent - pure cholestyramine resin (without all the fillers and sugars) to Lyme patients...You don't have to take as much at each dosing, just one tsp at each dosing...I am on 1 tsp a day right now, but apparently you can take more a day if you need or want to...The cost is $75.00 for 150 grams. One tsp is approx 4-5 grms.. You will need a prescription from you doctor. He said the more people he has, buying it,the better the price will be when he orders it again. Anyone interested please call the number below.
The pharmacists name is Bob Mehr (Babek) he works out of two pharmacies in B.C.
1) Shawnigan Lake People's Pharmacy Phone: 1-877-743-6944 OR 250-743-6977 Fax: 250-743-6976
2) Victoria Pharmacy Phone: 1-866-211-7700 OR 250-881-8887 Fax: 250-881-1210

Lisa, how many minutes before a meal do you take the CSM? The instructions say before a meal but doesn't specify. Pharmacist said the same.
Are you taking Actos w/it?
How many scoops do you take per day?

I take it near bedtime, once aday right now...I believe with all the toxin binding agents you take nothing (ie suppl, meds etc) within 1 hr of taking the stuff and do not take anything for 2 hrs after taking the stuff.....It is not scoopers like the Questran powder...The guy who told me about it said his dr. said 1 tsp a day as you can get herx's with that apparently, but you can take more if you need or want...NO I am not on Actos right now but had been on it before.
