HI : I have read many posts on herx's and hear some people say they just get into bed and ride it out. I just wonder if anyone gets so scard they feel like they may not make it, sometimes daily, my worst symptoms when I herx is chest pain, burning pain so bad you don't know how much more you can take, and then breathing problems. This can get to be so much sometimes you want to give up and I am not the type to give up on anything. I keep doubting its lyme and think I need to go to ER , but I don't (anymore) I just stay home and lay there wondering when the other shoe will drop. Sounds harsh but had to get it out.
Thanks for listening

by burning pain in the chest do you mean in the esphagus?acid reflux can sometimes cause these symptoms .take something for it and see if it helps ,

but i would also call your lyme dr and talk to him, I would consider this an emergency call to his answering service

however heart issues are possible because of the stress a herx puts your body under as well. call the dr

Is this something that happens every time you herx ? or is this the first time

Mrs. Sam,
I have had many days like you describe and yes, it is terrifying to think I might be having a heart attack. I have gone through many days recently where I thought I had no business being home and should be hospitalized to try to get through it all.
Hang in there. Talk to your doc about it and find out wht they have to say.
I'm gald you got it out.
Blessings,
Marblenose

Hi Thanks for the replies, Sapphire, the burning pain is all over my chest, and neck, I have it quite often and do take things for it and it helps a little. But sometimes it can be bad , when I cut back on the dose of abx it gets better so that tells me its the abx . I think it is anyway. I do have acid reflux to but this is a little different.

Thanks Marblenose for the kind words. IT ALL HELPS. Good luck to you all.
