IF you do, which brand do you take and do you find it helpful??? One of my dr's wants me to take a product called Liposutical glutathione (please excuse the spelling). I looked into it and I just can't afford it!!! It would cost me $50.00 for just a 2 ounce bottle!!! Theres no way I can afford that-would need 6 bottles per month!

Anyway, does anyone else have a recommendation? She says the capsule forms do not absorb well so I am looking for a liquid form-preferably one that isn't too expensive and one that I might be able to find at like a vitamin cottage or something.

I love my homeopathic dr, but I am not rich and can't afford $300.00 a month!

also, the product needs to be safe enough for me to take with antibiotics (she told me that was ok)

Nancy

Hi Nal!

I use NOW or Twin Labs glutathione capsules- sublingually. You open the capsule and dump the contents under yout tongue, let it dissolve, and swallow. It's definitely an acquired taste

Works for me

Good Luck and Take Care....Terri

I order mine off the internet. I usually google around for the best prices. The last time I ordered, it was from www.natureshealthshoppe.com

They were @ $20 for 100 capsules. They also got it to me in a timely fashion- which has not been the norm in the past.

Hi Nal--

Hope you don't mind if I jump in on your topic and ask what I hope isn't a redundant question, but I've seen the supplement glutathione (right spelling?) mentioned here before and was wondering what it's recommended for (and anything that shouldn't be taken along with it...)

Last time I tried to search for it, the engine was on vacation..so hoping to find out now while my brain is in an absorbing mood for the moment.

Thanks Nal for bringing this back up, and anyone who can offer some advise.

Health and Healing,
JavaBeing

I just ordered this:
Reduced Glutathione Sublingual Complex, Source Naturals, 50 mg, 100 Tablets
iHerb Price: $ 12.03
http://store.yahoo.com/iherb/glutathione1.html

"Reduced Glutathione Sublingual Complex contains glutathione (GSH), a key element of the liver's detoxifying process, and also the precursor for glutathione peroxidase, a major free radical scavenging enzyme. Recent scientific research indicates that molybdenum, a trace mineral that activates the enzymes aldehyde oxidase and sulfite oxidase, may provide necessary nutritional support for chemically sensitive individuals. Coenzymated vitamin B-2 (riboflavin) is the precursor for FAD, a coenzyme that recycles used GSH. The sublingual form is absorbed directly into the blood stream, via the blood vessels under the tongue and in the cheeks, allowing for quick entry into the system."

The following link might help explain glutathione a little better. To my understanding, its supposed to enhance your nervous system by helping to detox the liver and boost the immune system. Go to the link and scroll down to glutathione then click on the ?'s and that should be helpful.

Anyway noticing results on glutathione? What kind if any? Im gonna try my dr's recommendation for 1 month. If I do not see results, then I will switch to a less expensive alternative. The link given is also the one that I am ordering from.

Nal, you can get a good price on L-glutathione
TwinLabs brand at vitacost.com.
http://vitacost.com/

I just ordered two bottles for the retail price
(in stores) of one bottle. Like Lyma Bean, I
use it sublingually. Lyma Bean....I only paid
about $9.00 for each bottle...bigger savings
here.

Thanks ArtistDi!

I use the 250mg strength. Their price on those is good, as well. When I first started using glutathione, it was recommended to do 2 capsules- one, wait 10 minutes, then another. You don't have to do that with the stronger ones.

Take Care...Terri
